At MYBESTPLANET we understand and respect the importance of your privacy. 1. Which data are stored?
When you make a reservation
When you book a hotel through the MYBESTPLANET network, we record the personal details needed to complete the reservation. For example your name, your number telephone, your e-mail ("contact details") and also the date of your arrival and your departure, the hotel and type of room you booked (“reservation data ").
When you access the Tailormade section or contact the customer service
When you have a query or a special request you can contact us through the customer service or the Tailormade section. In order to process these requests, we collect your contact details. After the request or query has been satisfied, we delete your data.
When you log in or use the My Booking section
When you use the My booking section, which helps you to manage your booking, you can also register with us. During the booking process, you can also register to the website; this will allow you to use efficiently the web site next time you make a reservation with us. Please note: no credit card details will be stored. You can cancel your registration at any time, by simply sending an e-mail to privacy@mybestplanet.com and we will remove your contact details.
When MYBESTPLANET and its network will send you e-mail?
After you made your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with all the information regarding your reservation. You can show the mail to the hotel as your booking confirmation. Shortly before the arrival date, you might receive an email with the details of your destination and other information, as well as special offers and other useful information about the destination you chose. Also, after your stay at the hotel, we will send you by mail a Customer Satisfaction questionnaire, which we would like you to complete. Your review will be place in the hotel information page on our Web site, with the purpose of informing customers on the quality of service offered by the hotel. If you choose the option "subscribe to our newsletter”, we will send you e-mail with our offers, and from time to time, our newsletter or other kinds of information which we think may interest you.
2. Who may your data be disclosed to?
We disclose your data to our partners who will only use your data for the purposes of fulfilling your booking requests. In addition, we will not disclose your data to any other third parties. In accordance with the provisions on data protection, your personal data will be deleted 60 days after your overnight stay. If you have registered with us, we will keep your contact details, except your credit card details.
3. About data protection
Protection and safety information about your credit card
In order to protect your personal data we have implemented proper procedures and systems. For example, information about your credit cards will be sent via a server
network protocol that encrypts all your personal information including your credit card detail. The encryption protocol used is the Secure Socket Layer (SSL). The SSL certificate has been issued by VeriSign - www.verisign.com. In addition, we have implemented and use security procedures and physical and technical restrictions related the use of personal data. Access to personal data is allowed only by our staff, which works according our service standard.
Our server and our network are protected by firewalls against unauthorized access and we have an Intrusion Detection System that monitors network and/or system activities for malicious activities. We will keep your card credit details only to fulfill the bookings you have made through our website and for no later than 10 days from the check-out date. After this period, your credit card data will be permanently deleted.
4. Cookies
What are cookies?
Cookies are a feature of web browser software that allows web servers to temporarily store information within your browser. Most browsers automatically accept cookies but you can delete existing cookies from your browser. You can also edit your browser options to choose not to receive cookies in future. If you enable this option, though, you will not be able to access some of our features.
